Is corneal arcus independently associated with incident cardiovascular disease in Asians?

American Journal of Ophthalmology Sep 15, 2017

Wong MYZ, et al. - The longitudinal connection between baseline corneal arcus (CA) and incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) in ethnic Indian and Malay adults in Singapore are investigated in this study. The outcome suggests that the CA is related to incident CVD, independent of serum lipids and traditional CVD risk factors, in ethnic Malay and Indian men. In men, this outcome recommends that CA is an additional observable indicator of CVD.
