Homma Y, et al. - Researchers here investigated the association of intravenous crystalloid fluid (IVF) infusion and length of stay in the ED. In this work, IVF for treatment of acute alcoholic intoxication prolonged ED length of stay even after adjustment for potential confounders. They recommend selecting patients given IVF for acute alcohol intoxication with care.
