Wei D, Hou J, Liu X, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for analyzing the impacts of serum testosterone, obesity, and their interaction on blood pressure (BP) parameters and hypertension among Chinese rural adults. In total, 6,199 adults were selected from the Henan Rural Cohort Study. Logistic regression and linear regression were used to assess the link between testosterone, hypertension, and BP parameters (including systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, and mean arterial pressure. Elevated levels of serum testosterone were linked to lowered BP parameters and prevalent hypertension in males, and obesity modifying effects of serum testosterone on BP parameters and hypertension.
