Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment Apr 17, 2018
Talih F, et al. - Authors intended to quantify and clarify the pervasiveness of insomnia in hospitalized psychiatric patients. Furthermore, they analyzed the correlations between insomnia and demographic and clinical factors in these patients. Insomnia was reported in 67.4% cases and 14.3% appeared to have restless legs syndrome (RLS). A connection was demonstrated between the severity of insomnia and the presence of RLS, depressive and anxious symptomatology, suicidal ideation, use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, and use of benzodiazepines.
