Garg L, et al. - In this study, researchers used a large national database to determine the effect of atrial fibrillation (AF) on in-hospital outcomes in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI). In this population, an independent association of AF with a higher risk of in-hospital mortality and of other complications was evident.
