Infant outcome after complete uterine rupture
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Apr 18, 2018
Al-Zirqi I, et al. - In this population-based study, authors determined risk factors associated with poor infant outcome in cases of complete uterine rupture using data from the Medical Birth Registry of Norway, the Patient Administration System, and medical records. A significant decrease in intrapartum/infant death after complete uterine rupture was noted over the decades. Time to delivery >30 minutes and placental separation and/or fetal extrusion showed the highest association with intrapartum/infant deaths after complete uterine rupture. The incidence of intrapartum/infant deaths was limited with time to delivery <20 minutes.
