BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth Jul 31, 2019
Brun R, et al. - Women with the induction of labor were compared with women with spontaneous onset of labor regarding blood loss after delivery via performing a secondary analysis of a prospective cohort study investigating postpartum hemorrhage. Analysis of 965 deliveries including 380 women with induction of labor (39%) was done. Observations revealed no increased blood loss after delivery in correlation with induction of labor and hence it should not be regarded as a risk factor for postpartum hemorrhage.
