Lador A, et al. - Researchers, herein, focused on the incidence and prognosis of early post-myocardial infarction pericarditis (PMIP). Data suggested that PMPI is a relatively rare complication of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in the coronary reperfusion era. Furthermore, it was noted that the presence of PMPI predicted worse short-term but not long-term outcomes and was associated with bigger infarct size.
