Incidence and outcome of infective endocarditis following percutaneous versus surgical pulmonary valve replacement
Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions Sep 15, 2017
Lluri G, et al. - This study compared the outcome of infective endocarditis (IE) following transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement (TPVR) or surgical pulmonary valve replacement (SPVR). The reported risk of IE was not higher in patients undergoing TPVR versus SPVR. In addition, a prior history of IE and right ventricle to pulmonary artery (RV-PA) conduit was more likely in TPVR patients. Patients with stenotic RV to PA conduits who were treated with TPVR were at highest risk.
