Longobardo L, et al. - This study assessed the possible correlation between aortic elasticity and genetic and biomolecular patterns of elastin in patients with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV). Findings demonstrated that genetic and biomolecular patterns of elastin were correlated with mechanical properties of the aorta in this patient population.
