Impact of supraventricular tachyarrhythmia in patients with inherited cardiac arrhythmia
The American Journal of Cardiology Sep 16, 2017
Ragab AAY, et al. - This study was performed on patients with various inherited cardiac arrhythmias (ICAs) to assess the prevalence, co-existence and the time course of different types of supraventricular tachyarrhythmia (SVT). Over the time a significant reduction in intervals between consecutive episodes was noted in patients with multiple atrial fibrillation (AF) episodes. Data also reported an association of AF/SVT episodes with inappropriate implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) shocks and hence, aggressive therapy of AF/SVT was justified.
