Ichikawa T, et al. - In this work, immunohistochemical and genetic characteristics of lung cancer mimicking organizing pneumonia (LCOP) were explored. Findings characterized LCOP by fewer tumor-promoting stromal cells, which could contribute to the better prognosis of LCOP patients. Furthermore, recognition of specific somatic mutations of LCOP patients could help in determining the development and progression of this type of lung cancer.
