Ishihara S, et al. - Researchers ascertained the clinical characteristics of idiopathic spinal epidural lipomatosis (SEL). As per the findings, there was a relationship between the aberrant lipid metabolism and pathogenesis of idiopathic SEL. They noted more severe pain and less walking ability in the patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis (LSS) with idiopathic SEL than in those without SEL. Experts noted a significant association between hyperlipidemia and idiopathic SEL.
