Oh SH, et al. - The goal with which this work was planned was to assess risk factors associated with Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) and determine the contributions of these factors on CDI burden. Researchers found that significant risk factors for CDI were antibiotics use and the experience of gastroenteritis. They suggested controlling risk factors as beneficial for CDI prevention and advised performing CDI testing for symptomatic patients with gastroenteritis and implementing antibiotics stewardship.
