Morris NA, et al. - In order to better understand the cause of cardiac arrest (CA), cerebral pathophysiology following CA, and outcomes of CA in patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH), researchers compared SAH patients presenting with CA to other high-grade SAH patients presenting without CA. They observed an association of CA in SAH with larger volume bleeds. Despite normal cerebral perfusion pressures, CA patients indicated compromised cerebral physiology.
