Findings from an outbreak of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae emphasize the role of antibiotic treatment for cross transmission

Borgmann S, et al. - Risk factors for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CKP) acquisition were described from an outbreak of CKP. The findings suggest that antibiotic treatment is the predominant risk factor for monoclonal transmission of bla OXA-48 positive CKP.
