Chu A, et al. – This retrospective chart review aims to assess the effect of a rivaroxaban discharge initiative on the efficacy and safety of acute venous thromboembolism treatment in emergency department patients. To ensure both immediate and long–term treatment efficacy and safety, home treatment of acute venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a promising tactic facilitated by medication dose pack. In order to demonstrate the clinical superiority of this intervention, further studies are warranted.
