Kollia N, et al. - The impact of depression and anxiety on the 10-year cardiovascular disease (CVD) incidence, in relation to other lifestyle determinants, as linking factors in the context of the ATTICA study is prospectively investigated in this study. Lifestyle and clinical factors appear to link psychological distress with CVD development. Joint psychological evaluations ought to be considered for inclusion in CVD preventive strategies, which ought to incorporate interventions for interrupting the linking pathways.
