Burdsall DP, et al. – Researchers here explored inappropriate certified nursing assistant glove use in long–term care. They identified frequent inappropriate glove use in this study. Contaminated gloves may be a significant cause of cross–contamination of pathogens in health care environments. They recommended evaluating strategies to improve glove use to reduce health care–associated infections (HAIs) in future research studies.
