Flik CE, et al. - This multicentre randomized controlled trial (IMAGINE) in 11 hospitals in the Netherlands from May 31, 2011, to April 6, 2016, studied the impact of hypnotherapy and educational supportive therapy in cases suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). They observed that group hypnotherapy was more supportive than individual hypnotherapy. Relief of IBS symptoms was observed in patients who were asked once weekly on three or four occasions in 4 consecutive weeks.
