Effect of sedation on quantitative electroencephalography after cardiac arrest
Resuscitation Dec 06, 2017
Drohan CM, et al. - This work was planned to determine the effect of sedation on quantitative electroencephalography after cardiac arrest (CA). Here, higher amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) and lower suppression ratio (SR) predicted survival after CA. Researchers observed an alteration in aEEG and SR with sedation. However, interestingly, sedation seemed not to affect the relationship between these parameter values and outcome.
