Effect of RTS vs percutaneous conventional pedicle screw fixation on type A thoracolumbar fractures: A retrospective cohort study
European Spine Journal May 05, 2020
Jiang WQ, Ke ZY, Wu K, et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective cohort study to assess the impacts of rotation softened trauma fixation system (RTS) compared with percutaneous conventional pedicle screw fixation (PCPSF) on type A thoracolumbar fractures. One hundred sixteen patients with type A thoracolumbar fractures from March 2014 to June 2018 were involved. There was no significant difference in VAS score between-group before and after operation. Findings suggested that RTS has advantages in restoring the anterior vertebral height and reducing local kyphosis compared with PCPSF.
