Yuan F, et al. - In patients with convulsive status epilepticus (CSE), researchers sought to determine predictors of independent drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE). Between March 2008 and January 2015, 140 consecutive subjects identified with CSE in a tertiary academic hospital were analyzed. Using multivariate logistic regression, independent predictors of DRE were identified as a history of epilepsy, longer status epilepticus (SE) duration, and cortical or hippocampal abnormalities on neuroimaging.
