Yang X, et al. - Researchers here aimed at determining the clinical value of early hemoperfusion (HP) in emergency treatment of carbamazepine (CBZ) poisoning. There appeared a potential for significant reduction in the plasma concentration and retention period of CBZ with HP initiation in the early treatment stage of CBZ poisoning. Early HP, in addition, could relieve the symptoms and shorten the overall treatment period.
