Disparities in human papillomavirus vaccine completion rates among females in an integrated health care system

Obstetrics and Gynecology Aug 29, 2018

Freeman AH, et al. - Experts evaluated the rate of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine completion by race and ethnicity. The series was not completed by more than half of the females who initiated HPV vaccination. They noted the least likeliness of black and Hispanic patients to have completed the series. Among Hispanic patients, the lowest completion rate was seen in the highest acculturated group. The need for cancer prevention across all racial and ethnic groups was emphasized by these disparities.
