Marra AR, et al. - A systematic literature review and meta-analysis was performed to assess the impact of discontinuing contact precautions in the acute care setting. There appeared no association of discontinuation of contact precautions (CPs) for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) with increased infection rates.
