Days alive out of hospital in heart failure: insights from the PARADIGM-HF and CHARM trials
American Heart Journal May 15, 2021
Chen Y, et al. - Researchers intended to offer using the one-inflated beta model to examine percent days alive and out of hospital’ (DAOH). For highly left-skewed data with a large proportion of boundary values, this model is appropriate. Data from the PARADIGM-HF and CHARM trials are applied to demonstrate this method. The results showed that DAOH, and particularly percent DAOH, can enhance the knowledge of treatment effects in future cardiovascular trials, and the one-inflated beta model is an appropriate choice for its analysis.
