Otani T, et al. - Researchers planned this study to assess the risk factors for bleeding complications in extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) patients. As per findings, D-dimer levels seemed predictive of major bleeding in ECPR patients, suggesting that hyperfibrinolysis could be linked to bleeding.
