Correlation between the sagittal spinopelvic alignment and degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis: A retrospective study
BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders May 20, 2018
Lai Q, et al. - Researchers sought to compare spinopelvic measures of sagittal plane alignment between patients with single-segment degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) at L5 and a control group with no history of DLS. They included patients who underwent full-length lateral view radiographs of the spine in a relaxed standing posture. Findings suggested a special association of measurements of sacral slope (SS), angle of incidence (PI), and lumbar lordosis (LL) with DLS, with measurements correlating positively with the grade of slippage. Also, compared to the LL more strong association of the measurement for SS with the PI was seen.
