Nørgaard BL, et al. - The goal of this study was to summarize the scientific basis of computed tomography (CT) derived fractional flow reserve (FFR_CT) and review evidence from clinical trials and real-world observational data. Findings reported that clinical use of FFR_CT can significantly improve the management of patients with stable coronary artery disease. Data also indicated that further exploration is required regarding optimal FFR_CT testing interpretation strategy and relative cost-efficiency of FFR_CT against standard noninvasive functional testing.
