Coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention in cardiac arrest survivors with non-shockable rhythms and no STEMI: A systematic review
Resuscitation Sep 29, 2019
Harhash AA, et al. - Researchers examined the role of emergency coronary angiography (CAG) + percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in OHCA survivors with non-shockable rhythms and no ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) postresuscitation. Searching Ovid/MEDLINE, Embase, Scopus, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, and ClinicalTrials.gov from inception to January 2019, limited data were identified that described the prevalence of CAD and the role of CAG ± PCI in CA survivors with non-shockable rhythms and no STEMI postresuscitation. Analysis of only two studies was done which included 152 patients with confirmed non-shockable rhythms and no STEMI postresuscitation and met all criteria. PCI was undertaken in 16% of patients with non-shockable rhythms in these included works.
