Continuous optimization of cardiac resynchronization therapy reduces atrial fibrillation in heart failure patients: Results of the Adaptive Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Trial
Heart Rhythm Sep 13, 2017
Birnie D, et al. - The long-term incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) was compared between patients who received AdaptivCRT (aCRT) or conventional cardiac resynchronization therapy (convCRT). aCRT versus convCRT provided an attenuated risk of AF. Additionally, most of the reduction in AF occurred in subgroups with prolonged atrioventricular (AV) conduction at baseline and with significant left atrial reverse remodeling.
