Griffin M, et al. – This study hypothesized that concurrent worsening renal function (WRF) and hemoconcentration should be a specific sign of attenuation in intravascular volume and thus would be associated with improved survival in patients hospitalized with heart failure (HF). The finding of concurrent hemoconcentration and WRF was associated with significantly improved post discharge survival.
