Shajari M, et al. - Experts ascertained the efficacy of corneal collagen cross-linking with Dresden and accelerated protocols to treat keratoconus by Scheimpflug tomography. They measured 58 eyes with manifest keratoconus preoperatively at least twice with the Pentacam. In all eyes, signs of a progressive disease were demonstrated by Scheimpflug imaging before the operative intervention. This progression was effectively stopped with both conventional Dresden protocol and accelerated pulsed corneal collagen cross-linking techniques.
