Comparison of acetabular and femoral morphologies on hip, pelvic, and lumbar radiographs
Clinical Imaging Jun 14, 2018
Yun SJ, et al. - The reliability of the parameters for acetabular/femoral pathomorphologies in L-spine and hip radiographs compared to pelvic radiographs was evaluated in this analysis. Researchers performed a retrospective review of L-spine, hip, and pelvic radiographs from 101 subjects. The findings from the present study suggested that pathomorphology-related measurements in L-spine radiographs could also be used as alternatives to those in pelvic or hip radiographs. Results revealed that if L-spine radiographs were already available, additional pelvic or hip radiographs might be unnecessary, thus decreasing patients' overall radiation exposure.
