Comparison between different approaches applied in laparoscopic right hemi-colectomy: A systematic review and network meta-analysis
International Journal of Surgery | Oct 18, 2017
Li F, et al. - Authors here investigated the potential benefits of different operative approaches (medial to lateral (MtL) approach, lateral to medial (LtM) approach and cranial to caudal (CtC) approach) applied in laparoscopic right hemi-colectomy by conducting a network meta-analysis (NMA). The pooled evidence revealed that most aspects of different approaches were comparable in general, thereby suggesting safety and acceptability of all these approaches. Compared with MtL approach, LtM approach had shorter postoperative flatus recovery time and hospitalization time. CtC approach, compared with MtL approach, seemed slight superior regarding postoperative complications.
