Fonseca EC, et al. - The intent of the authors was to determine the best treatment to prevent recurrence, among several adjuvant treatments for primary pterygium. The best adjuvant treatment was discovered to be the association of conjunctival autograft and ciclosporin 0.05% eye drops. Discontinuation of Bare sclera technique alone was recommended since it correlated with high recurrence rates.
