Comparative evaluation of clinical methods of tear film stability assessment: A randomized crossover study

Wang MTM, et al. - In this trial, the experts compared the tear film stability measurements acquired with an automated noninvasive corneal topographer vs conventional fluorescein methods and assessed their respective discriminative ability in detecting dry eye. Significantly shorter time measurements with narrower distributions were noted in conventional fluorescein tear film breakup, whereas automated noninvasive keratograph readings demonstrated superior discriminative ability in detecting dry eye.
