Forrester JD, et al. – The authors aimed at describing the impact and epidemiology of Clostridium difficile (C.difficile) infection (CDI) in low– and middle–human development index (LMHDI) countries. Among the reviewed studies, the percentages of patients with CDI in LMHDI countries was lower than expected. They realized that epidemiologic data evaluating burden of C. difficile infection in these settings was deficient.
