Clinical risk factors associated with intraoperative floppy iris syndrome: A prospective study

Kaczmarek IA, et al. - Researchers herein assessed the incidence of and factors related to intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS) in subjects who underwent cataract phacoemulsification. As per the results, risk factors for IFIS were the finasteride use and aging. Findings affirmed the relationship between tamsulosin use with IFIS. Moreover, in terms of the occurrence of IFIS, doxazosin appeared to be a relatively safe drug.
