Clinical features and prognostic factors of primary bone marrow lymphoma
Cancer Management and Research Apr 05, 2019
Wang G, et al. - Researchers studied clinical features of primary bone marrow lymphoma (PBML) and assessed risk factors associated with prognosis. They analyzed 66 patients from their center and the current published literature for this purpose. In univariate analysis, they found worse outcomes in relation to B symptoms, a low serum platelet level, an elevated serum LDH level, and not achieving a complete response (CR) following initial therapy. In multivariate analysis, the identified independent factors for prognosis were a low serum platelet level (<75×109/L), B symptoms, and not achieving a CR following initial therapy. Also, intensive regimens appeared to be beneficial for prognosis.
