Characteristics of diabetic macular edema on optical coherence tomography may change over time or after treatment
Clinical Ophthalmology Oct 03, 2018
Sheu SJ, et al. – Investigators assessed characteristics of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in diabetic macular edema (DME) over time and post-treatment. They retrospectively analyzed OCT morphological features in DME eyes treated with ranibizumab with ≥ 1 year of follow-up. A total of 35 eyes were involved. Results of this study suggested that DME characteristics on OCT might change over time or after treatment. In DME, subretinal fluid might be related to earlier change and less ellipsoid zone damage.
