Can abnormal dispersion of ventricular repolarization be a predictor of mortality in arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy: The importance of Tp-e interval
Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology Mar 18, 2019
Cekirdekci EI, et al. - In patients with ARVC, researchers assessed the alterations in Tp-e interval, Tp-e/QT, Tp-e/QTc ratio, and traditional electrocardiographic features of electrical dispersion. The study included an ARVC group (n=30 men, with a median of 35 (26–41) years), and a control group of 65 age and sex-matched individuals (42 men, with a median of 37 (24–45) years). Using the 12-lead electrocardiogram, they determined the Tp-e interval, Tp-e/QT ratio, and Tp-e/QTc ratio. In ARVC patients vs the control group, Tp-e interval, cTp-e interval, Tp-e/QT, and Tp-e/QTc ratio were significantly higher. In ARVC patients who dies vs the survival group, Tp-e interval, cTp-e interval, Tp-e/QT ratio, and Tp-e/QTc ratio were significantly higher.
