Biomechanical comparison of fixation stability using a Lisfranc plate versus transarticular screws
Foot and Ankle Surgery Sep 04, 2017
Ho NC, et al. – This study compared the stability of fixation of Lisfranc injuries fixed using two ORIF devices: a novel Lisfranc plate and conventional transarticular screws. Findings demonstrated that diastasis at the Lisfranc joint after fixation with a novel plate or transarticular screw fixation were comparable. It was concluded that the Lisfranc plate may provide adequate support without risk of iatrogenic injury to the articular cartilage.
