Ngam C, et al. - In this work, a nursing perspective was assessed regarding barriers and facilitators to Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) prevention. Researchers found Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS) systems engineering framework to be useful in evaluating the infection prevention practices for CDI and identified opportunities for improvement. They identified the work system barriers and facilitators which should be addressed to the effective implementation of infection prevention interventions, specifically for CDI.
