B-type natriuretic peptide and ventricular dysfunction in the prediction of cardiovascular events and death in hypertension
American Journal of Hypertension Oct 10, 2017
Gallagher J, et al. - This study assessed the predictive ability of echocardiographically-assessed ventricular dysfunction and B-type natriuretic peptide levels for future major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and death in a community-based cohort of patients with complicated and uncomplicated hypertension. Findings revealed that ventricular dysfunction on echocardiography better-predicted risk of MACE and death, compared with BNP in this patient populace.
