Astragalus polysaccharides increase the sensitivity of SKOV3 cells to cisplatin
Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics Jan 25, 2018
Li C, et al. - Researchers examined the sensitizing effect of astragalus polysaccharides (APS) on SKOV3 cells to cisplatin and explored the possible mechanism. By activating the c-Jun N-terminal kinases pathway, astragalus polysaccharides increased the sensitivity of SKOV3 cells to cisplatin potentially. The apoptosis-related genes might contribute to the process. Thus, for the treatment of ovarian cancer, APS could be valuable as an enhancer of chemosensitivity.
