Age and Aging Jan 30, 2020
Lai YJ, et al. - Researchers examined how exercise correlates to mortality in older people. Data from annual health check-ups of the older citizens of Taipei in 2006 were used. They obtained data on demographics and lifestyle behaviors via interviewing participants using a structured questionnaire. They analyzed 42,047 older people; of these, 22,838 (54.32%) were male and with a mean age of 74.58 (6.32) years. Outcomes revealed a significantly decreased risk of all-cause mortality among older people with increased exercise levels.
