Association between visual acuity and the corneal area occupied by granular lesions, linear lesions, or diffuse haze in patients with granular corneal dystrophy type 2
Cornea Apr 07, 2018
Kim HS, et al. - Researchers investigated the relationship between visual acuity and age-related changes in lesion types in patients with granular corneal dystrophy type 2 (GCD2) (heterozygous). As per the findings, significant decreases in visual acuity was not produced by linear lesions (LLs) associated with GCD2, whereas diffuse haze (DH) exerted the most notable negative effect on visual acuity. An association of late-onset DH with the termination of LL formation could be seen.
