Association between plasma CD36 levels and incident risk of coronary heart disease among Danish men and women
Atherosclerosis Sep 07, 2018
Wang Y, et al. - In a case-cohort study nested within the Danish population-based cohort, the Diet, Cancer and Health Study, researchers prospectively examined the link between the levels of plasma CD36 (a cholesterol receptor involved in the uptake of oxidized low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and development of atherosclerotic plaques) and risk of incident coronary heart disease (CHD). Outcomes suggest no predictive value of plasma CD36 levels for CHD risk in the general population.
